2014 is marking an year of Octa Core mobile chips. The previous year ended with announcement and launch of many mobile devices most of them featuring the true octa core SoC from MediaTek. Huawei, though a little late, have announced that their HiSilicon Octa Core chipset is ready for the show. Huawei currently have many of their devices running on their HiSilicon Chipsets. The Octa core chipset is likely to feature the (Samsung Exynos 5 type Architecture) quad Cortex A-15 plus quad Cortex-A7 big.LITTLE combo. There are two new 28nm HPM chips that are launched along with a quad core Cortex A9 model that succeeds 40nm K3V2 Chip. The Octa core and quad core chipsets comes with multi LTE band modem that will be compatible on WCDMA and China Mobile's TD- SCDMA.
