HTC Flyer At MWC 2011

The tablet space is really heating up in the recent week as we approached the much awaited MWC 2011. As expected there are quiet a few tablets unvieled this time in the MWC. One of the most anticipated device for the show too were unvieled today. The 7-inch tablet from HTC, the HTC flyer is a device which can be termed a streched smart phone. However as opposed to earlier expections of the device to carry the android honeycomb, the flyer will run a lower version of android. But no need to get disappointed because HTC flyer is offering Android 2.4 Ginger bread while most tablets being launched is sticking to 2.2 Froyo.

Other features are also good. The  design is made in such a way to give thinner feel and the body is mostly plastic and aluminium. The Tablet which powered by 1.5GHz processor has Bluetooth 3.0+HS, GPS, Wi-Fi, and a good number of sensors, such as a light sensor, gyroscope, and digital compass. The main camera a the rear is a 5 Mega pixel one, but there is no flash attached. The front facing camera for video chat is 1.3 MP. Default storage memory of the device is 32 GB which can be extended using micro SD. The device does have a micro SD slot.HTC has a new software called scribe, which helps the user to write using a stylus. From the approach of HTC we assume that the company is more cautious while entering the tablet market.
