With its affordable price tag, great build and nice features, ASUS's Eee Pad Transformers made their own space in the market, and the company is shipping around 400,000 units per month. Now they are planning a second generation of the device, and according to Digitimes this will happen this year itself. Probably by October ASUS will launch their Eee Pad Transformer 2.
The second generation Eee Pad Transformer is expected to be coming with NVIDIA Tegra 3 quad-core processor power and boosted up with “impressive” specification.
Both Wintek and HannStar Display are preparing touch screen panels for the device. The former is planning to begin small-volume shipments in the middle of the third quarter and shipments in large volumes at the end of the quarter.
Stay tuned for more details.
