Bang & Olufsen Introduces Its Portable Air Play Speakers

The brand Bang & Olufsen is often attributed to great sound quality and for the heavy price tag they carry. This time at CES 2012 they introduced a new line of portable speaker called Beolit 12 under their new B&O play line. B&O play line of devices they claim make use of expertise from other areas like fashion, furniture, design etc besides their well established technical team. The writing is on the wall -- the devices coming out of this brand will be exceptionally good looking while sounding great.
Beolit Airplay

The beolit 12  designed by Cecilie Manz, a young and famous product and furniture designer from Denmark. The speaker resembles a basket and weighs just 2 Kg. The speaker output is 120 Watts originating from two 2" tweeters and a  4" woofer. The Airplay option enables the user to play tunes directly from the iPhone. The battery back up on airplay is a good 4 hours. If the speaker is connected with wire from a play-back device the battery runs double the time; 8 hours. You can carry around where ever you go inside or outside your apartment.

Like any other Bang & Olufsen product price seems to be on a higher side. The speakers will be available from February 2012 onwards.
