AT&T will be selling Nokia 520 for $49 from November 28th, which is today. The offer will go until December 2 which happens to be the Cyber Monday. This is possibly the lowest price at which Nokia Lumia 520 is ever sold. It usually retails at around $90 in US.
Lumia 520 is the most successful Windows OS phone from Nokia. The device is still considered by many as the best entry level smartphone in the market. It is powered by a 1 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual core along with 512 MB RAM. The display is 4 inches wide IPS display with 480 x 800 pixels resolution. The rear camera is 5 MP auto focus with 4x digital zoom. However it lacks flash and front facing camera. Battery is 1430 mAH.
The deal will be available from the Nokia website as well as the Microsoft website. AT&T site still shows the $99 price. However the Microsoft site shows the $49 price tag for the phone. But the device seems to have sold out within few minutes of opening as the site says "Now $49.00, was $99.00 SOLD OUT ." The sale at AT&T site will start in few hours or probably few minutes from now. Make sure you get there in time as the demand for the device is still high.
Nokia recently launched a successor to Lumia 520 called Lumia 525. There is however not much of an upgrade in this new device. Only visible change is the addition of 1 GB RAM in place of 512 MB RAM and the 8 GB internal storage memory. Rest of the specifications are pretty much the same.
