The 'TVR Sonitus' a concept car designed by Mark Przeslawski, during his final year of transoprt design at Coventry University. Przeslawski absorbed the inspiration from the excitement which surrounded the space race and jet age, at a time when technology was developing at an awesome pace. This feeling of exhilaration and inventiveness led to TVR being chosen for Sonitus project.
The Sonitus was conceptualized as a way of celebrating one of the most adventurous British sport car manufacturer and blended it with an innovative drive-train. The drive-train of this concept consist of a bio-diesel fueled gas turbain engine, electric motor and batteries. Because of this hybrid system, the turbine run continually supplying a unique noise to the Sonitus. When the batteries and electric motors flatten out the power curve, deliversinstant power, acceleration and torque at all times.
The design reflect both TVR's traditional interior design cue stick along with the contemporary shapes and unique powersources. The buxom styling and poping arches with long bonnet and cabin located toward the rear and wavy slit like headlights makes Sonitus a unique concept.
