Advanced Micro Devices is planning to release a new chipset particularly designed for netbooks. The new processor will be a rival to Intel's Atom processor and to ARM based chipsets. The processor is coming to their Fusion line up and will be relesed sometime in 2011
The 'Fusion' is an integration of CPU cores with graphics processor and there is no need of an extra graphic processor in the upcoming processor. There is not much detail available about the processor but it supposed to be run in 10-15 watt range.
The processor is focused on 10-12 inch netbooks and notebooks.
