Here we got an interesting netbook-cum-slate tablet design from a Chinese manufacturer Acamar, named Acamar Transformer. Eventhough the convertible tablet-style netbook is not a big thing, its convertible nature, reverting to a netbook form factor as and where necessary, and also to function as a tablet when desired, with an interesting unique design helps the user to tilt back the screen before closing the lid in order to transform from netbook to tablet mode.
The 8.9-inch device equipped with 1.6GHz Intel Atom N450 single-core processor, with 2GB of DDR3 memory on-board. The system offers 120GB hard drive, and uses Windows 7 as the operating system.
The Acamar Transformer also offers Bluetooth, WiFi, Ethernet, 2 USB 2.0 ports, g-sensor, and VGA, while the G-sensor and multi-touch options are available only in tablet mode.
The device weighs just 2.4 pounds and measures 10.2" x 5.7" x 1" in dimensions. I think the 3000mAh battery puts off the device little bit, as it seems to offer just 2 - 4 hours of “standby time.”
If you are interested in the tablet, then you can purchase one from Pandawill and Flydolphine for $460.
