Sony Xperia Z Ultra 6.4 inch full HD phone launched in India for Rs.46,990

Sony Xperia Z Ultra is 6.4 inch device which can as well termed a phablet due to its huge display. It offers a very impressive 1080x1920 pixels full HD display. It is also the first smartphone to feature Sony's Triluminos technology, used in the latest Bravia Televisions. The phone will be available from August 2 for Rs. 46,990.



The phone obviously belongs to the premium class. It is also feature rich with powerful processor and a durable battery. Sony Xperia Z Ultra is powered by 2.2GHz quad-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2 GB RAM. It offers 16 GB internal storage that can be expanded up to 64 GB using a microSD card.

The 3,000mAh battery offers 14 hours talk time and 768 hours stand by according to Sony. The connectivity options includes LTE, NFC, Wi-Fi, 3G, DLNA and Bluetooth. It is also certified with IP55 and IP58, which otherwise means the device is waterproof and dust proof like the Xperia Z phone and tablet. Sony Xperia Z Ultra runs on Android 4.2 which will soon get the 4.3 jelly bean upgrade.

The features of the phone includes handwriting recognition and stylus/ pen/ pencil support. The apps that can be found includes Walkman, Movies and Album, Sony LIV catch up tv app and Sony Music Jive. The primary camera in the rear captures 8 mega pixels shots and the front camera meant for video chat captures 2-megapixel images.

Sony Xperia Z Ultra weighs 212 grams and is  6.5mm thick. The phone will be available in White, Purple and Black colors.
