You read it right. LG lauched a tablet named Homeboy, made by Samsung. Wondering how it is possible. It is possible because LG is also a network provider in Korea. So that clears the air.
Now, coming to the device, it appears to be a rebranded version of Galaxy tab 7.0 meant to be used at home. Homeboy can be a replacement to the Amazon Kidle. Homeboy provide access to 50 TV channels in Korea and besides that offers millions of tracks and many thousands ebooks.
Another important feature of Samsung Homeboy is that it has a camera that can act as a cctv cam if you leave it at home. LG not having a tablet under their make it is no wonder that they are launching a Samsung Tablet in their network.
LG is expected to launch a device named Gpad which is expected at the IFA Berlin show scheduled on September 6 in Berlin. In fact there in two tablets expected from LG, much details of the other tab are not known.
