There is a big news from the Korean auto maker Hyundai. Their updated 2010 Accent is claimed to have improvement in fuel efficiency. Hyundai improves the average miles per gallon through aero styling, low-friction engine internals, low-resistance tyres and "smart " alternator system. These improvements the company claims to have reduced fuel consumption by upto 4% in city and 3% in high-way.
New Blue model is the least expensive Accent model for the year 2010 and will start at $9,970. Lowered ride height and revised transmission gearing manage a combined 31 miles per gallon. An i-Pod and USB port both of which charges the music player. The steering wheel audio controls are also available in this new model.
The new Accent is powered with a 1.6 liter four cylinder engine with continuously variable valve timing and can manage 110 hp and 106 lb-ft of torque. You can choose a four-speed automatic or a standard high speed mode of transmission. Automatic model shows a green ECO and manual model give an Ecoshift light to indicate when the driver reaches optimal fuel efficiency.
The price of the entry Blue model as mentioned earlier is under $10 K, and the least expensive automatic transmission version goes for $12,995 and SE three-doors which is Top-of-the-line, start at $16,995. Add an extra $720 for shipping
