As expected Sony introduced their latest flagship device, the most rumored device from Sony, Sony Xperia Z, as the most promising 5" 1080p device to date. The first 1080p device from Sony carries almost all the rumored features
The new 5" Android device sports a 1080p display that uses Sony’s Mobile Bravia 2 engine and Gorilla Glass. The 7.9mm thin smartphone runs on latest Snapdragon S4 Pro with a quad-core 1.5GHz Krait processor and the Adreno 320 graphics along with 2GB of RAM offer high performance and smooth playback of games and media contents. The device runs on Android Jelly Bean that may be upgraded to Android 4.2 soon in the future.
As always Sony packs the device with a powerful 13MP camera with Sony Exmor RS mobile sensor that will record video at 1080p, along with HDR option. Other important features to note down is its One-touch sharing via NFC, 2,330 mAh battery to power the device, and a new “STAMINA mode” to improve the stand by time for the device up to four times etc. It also offers all the regular network options LTE, HSPA+, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, GPS, NFC and FM radio. There is a microSD slot for your extra storage needs.
Pretty impressive?, wait, the unibody design of the device also offers IP57-certification for dust and water resistance. So you can use the phone, even when you are taking a bath, cool!

Sony takes the same venue to announce the other device, Sony Xperia ZL, rumored along with Xperia Z. The innards of both the devices are almost same, and as we reported earlier, it sports slightly different design, with a little bit thicker profile and lacks the IP57 certification. One more main difference is that the ZL offers dual SIM support.
Sony has included all the core features in the ZL, like 5" 1080p display, Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, 13 MP camera etc.
The company is planning to launch the device in March, but the price details are yet to be revealed.
