On the first day of the ongoing IDF 2013 at Beijing China, ZTE announced a new smartphone with Intel power. The newly announced ZTE Geek is based on Intel Clover Trail+ platform, the same technology used to power Lenovo K900. The Chinese maker has't provided any details on the pricing and the availability of the device, and they are likely to be announced on a later date.

Inside the 5" display Geek hides a 2GHz dual-core Intel Z2580 processor assisted with PowerVR SGX 544MP2 graphics. There will be a 1GB of RAM and 8 GB of on-board storage along with the processors. The display offers a 1280 x 720 HD resolution, and there will be a 8MP rear camera and 1MP front camera. ZTE has also included a 2300 mAh battery inside the device and the phone offers MicroSD card support too.
The Geek runs on Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and in terms of connectivity it offers a tri-band GSM, quad-band 3G with HSPA support, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS with A-GPS, but lacks lacks LTE.
ZTE noted in the press release that
