Xiaomi has announced a new smartphone named MiPhone 3 in China. Xiaomi is rising steadily in popularity in China. The company with its recent appointment of Google's Huggo Barra is clearly heading for an entry into the global smartphone business. Currently Xiaomi's phones are available only in China and some other Asian countries.

MiPhone 3 has a 5 inch fullHD display with OGS. It is powered by either 2.2GHz Snapdragon 800 (China Unicom version) or NVIDIA’s Tegra 4 quad-core processor (China Mobile variant) along with 2 GB of RAM. There is 13 MP rear camera and a 2 MP front camera in the device. It comes in 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage variants. The price of 16GB phone is CNY1999 ($327), while the 32 GB cost a little more at CNY2499 ($408).
NFC that lets the users to communicate between similar devices is also present in MiPhone 3. Android 4.2.1 is the OS used in the device. The phone is 8.1mm thick and weighs 145g. It is available in White, Silver, Blue, Purple and Yellow color options. Battery used is a 3050mAh battery.
The phone is expected to hit the stands in October. MiPhone 3 will be available in China in the beginning and later in Hong Kong and Taiwan.
