AMD, the leaders in motherboard manufacturing, is planning to launch two new desktop platform in May2010. Targeting the mainstream and high end, the two processor AMD Dordo and Leo platforms are using ATI Radeon HD 5000 series video cards and also uses a processor Athlon II or Phenom II ranges.
Dordo will pair an 880G northbridge and SB810 southbridge with Athlon II CPUs, where as Leo is using SB850 southbridge and 890FX or 890GX (RD890) northbridge and phenon II CPUs with six-core Thuban processor.
