Acer Liquid is the first Android smartphone from Acer which runs Qualcomm's Snapdragon platform. This device which was announced last month.
With dimensions of just 115x64x12.43mm and 135 gm weight the device is availabile in three awesome color combinations of black-black, red-black and white-black. It effectively combines a personal navigation device and a smart phone.
The smartphone features a Qualcomm QSD 8250 Snapdragon CPU at 768 MHz, Android 1.6, WVGA touchscreen at 800x480pixels, quadband GSM/GPRS/EDGE, tri band UMTS/HSDPA/HSUPA at either 900/1800/2100 MHz or 850/1900/2100 MHz, 256 MB SDRAM, 512 MB FLASH ROM and MicroSD cards with which memory can be expanded. Other features are WiFi b/g, Bluetooth 2.0+EDR, a USB port, digital compass light sensor, G-sensor and a 3.5 mm stereo headset plug on the top. Missed calls, unread messages and the battery status can be undesrstood from the LED notification on the phone. 1,350 mAh Lithium Polymer battery which is removable and replaceable gives you a 5 hours of talk-tome in UMTS mode and 6 hours in GSm mode.
The Acer Liquid uses its own music player named 'nemo player' along with Google's original Android music player ;
The Android powered Liquid is coming with Google's built in applications like Gmail, Google Talk, YouTube, Google Maps, Android Market. With the Android platform Liquid makes social networking services known as Acer Share which keeps you connected with your friends and loved ones through Facebook and Twitter. It is also possible to send photos captured photos to Facebook and Flicker directly. The mobile contacts can be directly synchronized with Facebook and Flicker. urFooz, a special feature from Liquid is a portable profile which connects to your multiple social networking accounts like Facebook,Twitter, YouTube, Flicker etc..
