The firmware update for Sprint's Samsung Epic 4G is not yet rolled out by the carriers. But if you are eagerly waiting for this update to roll out in your mobile devices, then you can update it manually from Android central as they have uploaded the updated files over their site. You can follow the instructions to perform the update manually.
The updates only brings the compatibility for Samsung's Media Hub, and you can purchase or rent TV shows, movies etc. There is no update available for Android 2.2 Froyo. The updating procedure is very easy and straightforward. You just need to transfer the downloaded file to your microSD card in your device. But according to the forums post "This will not work if you're using a modified kernel or missing Sprint Apps."
