NEC’s LifeTouch W dual screen Android tablet, which made its first debute at the venue of CES 2011, starts shipping from next month. This Android powered LifeTouch W reminds a folded notebook, and is easy to carry around. Both of the displays are resistive touch screens each with a 800 x 600 resolution.
NEC's LifeTouch W tablet is particularly designed for enterprise markets, not for the consumers. Powered by ARM Cortex A8 processor and runs on Android 2.2 OS the LifeTouch W features 384 MB of RAM, 1GB of ROM, SDHC, GPS, USB 2.0 microB, USB 2.0, IEEE 802.11b/g/n compatible wireless LAN, accelerometer, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR, magnetic sensors, and an integrated brightness sensor.
The device offers an operating time of about five hours for home reading and weighs just 530 gm for 135 × 208 × 23mm (width × height × depth when folded) dimension.
