A smartphone with larger display is necessary now a days, which is convenient for the users to make use of gaming and multi media. But the problem is the portability, as the display size increases the device become more bulky and is difficult to carry.

Here is a breakthrough design from researchers at the Samsung Advanced Institute of Technology in South Korea. These AMOLED folding displays lets you to close the display when you are not requiring a large display, and there wont be any problem if you fold the display or bend the display. This innovative display consist of two panels sandwiched at the top and bottom of a silicon rubber.
There is a protective glass cover which helps the display to act as a touch screen and also protect the device from scratches. The components are placed inside a fold-able case which can be folded to 180° angle.
The researchers have already tested the device for 100,000 folding unfolding cycles and there is no visible crease, and the screen's luminosity at the central portion reduced only by 6% .
Even though this is a prototype version and not a finalproduct, we can expect these sort of devices in the mainstream soon.
