32GB BlackBerry Playbook 4G Official Now, Coming To Canada On August 9

After making rumors and speculations for more than a year, the 4G LTE capable BlackBerry Playbook 4G is officially announced by RIM. The device almost matches in specifications to the rumored features and as expected it will be coming with 1.5 GHz dual-core processor, rather than the 1GHz processor in its original Wi-Fi only version.



Apart from the improved processor and the support for 4G, the device remains almost same as that of the Wi-Fi only model. The tablet will be coming with the same 7-inch display, with 1024×600 touchscreen, 3 MP front-facing camera, a 5 MP rear camera with 1080p Full HD video recording, GPS, micro HDMI, micro USB, GPS etc.


The tablet will also let you to access the BlackBerry Video Store through which thousands of movies and TV shows will be available for purchase or rent. The device will be coming only in 32GB version now. BlackBerry PlayBook OS 2.1 is used as the OS in the system.


RIM is planning to launch 4G LTE BlackBerry Playbook first in Canada, on August 9. Bell, Rogers, and Telus will be getting the device in Canada. The company has also promised to release the device with support for "various high speed cellular networks" in the coming months, in US, Europe, South Africa, Latin America, and the Caribbean.
