Xperia Sony Tablet Spotted, The 9.4-Inch Tablet Will Be Landing On September 3rd For $399.99 & Up

It seems as if Sony is busy with their next generation Android tablet, as a successor of their debut tablets Tablet S & P. And according to the latest reports the new tablet will be landing on September 3rd. The tablet will be getting a redesign, and is losing the wedge-shaped design of the Tablet S. Sony is keeping a thinner and lighter profile for their new tablets and it will be faster and brighter than its previous version. The interesting thing is that the new tablet will be coming under the brand name Xperia, so the smartphone and tablet will be under a single roof, the lucky name Xperia.


The new Xperia tablet from Sony is supposed to be coming with a 9.4 inch, 1280 x 800 pixel display. Quad core NVIDIA Tegra 3 on Android 4.0 ICS will definitely give an exciting tablet experience for the users. There is a chance for getting Android Jelly Bean update when it lands in the stores, or after that, but now it is reportedly working on ICS. The device offers up to 64Gb of storage. There is also an 8MP rear camera, and a 1MP front facing camera for video chat. 802.11a/b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0 etc are also available with the system. 6000mAh battery is the powerhouse in the system, and it can run the show up to 10 hours.


Another noted specification of the device is it is coming with PlayStation Certification, that makes the user to download and play a number of PlayStation games, the users can also enjoy thousands of Android apps along with games from the Google Play Store.




Sony is setting the starting price tag at $399.99 for 16GB version. There is also 32GB and 64GB version available for $499.99 and $599.99, respectively. The company is also planning to release a number of optional accessories including a premium cover in a number of attractive colors for $79.99, a keyboard-less carrying cover for $59.99, $99.99 docking stand, simple stand for just $24.99, and a dock speaker for$119.99. Sony is expected to debut the tablet in the upcoming trade show IFA at Berlin.
