Philips Aurea Reaches 3rd generation

Philips Aurea is the ultimate materialisation of ambilight which generates light effects around the TV to correspond the video content.


This system consists of 252 LEDs to illuminate color according to the  picture on the transparent frame work. The advantage is, with a larger virtual screen, a more immersive viewing experience with reduced eye strain is possible. The ambilight also projects onto the walls behind the TV. Covering the first and second generation now Philips' Aurea TV's all grown-up to the third generation


The third generation features includes the same, albeit tweaked, motion sensitive remote control as in previous generation and adds new elements like Net TV an internet system that provides quick access to the content from YouTube, eBay, TomTom and more depend upon your choice and location. This facility also enables the users to surf internet from a built-in browser.


Aurea third generation also offers DLNA which wirelessly streams the content such as music movie and photos directly from the PC to the screen. It also features 5 HDMI inputs, full HD panel (1920x1080),  100 Hz refresh technology, snappy 2-ms response as before. The box features an integrated DVB-T/DVB-C/CI+ HDTV receiver, 1.3a  EasyLink inputs WiFi, Ethernet etc.
