'The C8 Aileron Spyder' is an extension from the supercar family Spyker. Giving new face to the sport cars, Aileron Spyder is designed by deriving inspiration from company's aviation heritage.
This second generation open top sports car from Spyker has got a typical design using finite modern elements with numerical optimisation methods. The high quality engineering package, use of baronial materials and including all the features of existing spyker cars makes it a true knight rider.
This two seater sports car with advanced all-aluminium V8 mid-engine is paired to a six-speed manual gearbox to produce 400 bhp and 354 lbs of torque at 3400rpm. The spyder offer a high speed of 300 km/hr and can accelerate from zero to 60mph with in just 4.5 second. 19-inch directional rotar wheels, a turned aluminium dashboard, quilted leather detailing are some optional features in the Aileron.
To increase the speed and stability the wheelbase is increased by 150mm long, the front track by 155mm with a total of 1625 mm of front track and 1645 mm rear track which improves the driving comfort and the road handling. The wheel design is raised to the jet engine standards. The weight of the car is reduced considerably by the use of advanced technology like rigid node and load-path.
The lights are also redesigned, LED lights are used as rear lights, side lights of the headlights and in indicators. The design of the headlight is spectacular and it follows the body design. Customer can choose any favorite color from the 16 standard colors.
Spyder provides wide interior space, mostly lined with high quality leather which is available in 14 different colors to choose. An LCD display is integrated within the odometer and speedometer.
The spyder with a Karma audio system make it even more enhanced. The system offers a Bluetooth interface, digital radio, ipod connectivity.
