Dell Is Coming Up With Four Android Devices-Dell Thunder, Dell Flash, Dell Smoke and Dell Looking Glass

Dell is cooking up four new Android devices with code names Dell Thunder, Dell Flash, Dell Smoke and Dell Looking Glass.


The features of Dell Thunder includes

  • 4.1 inch WVGA OLED touchscreen display

  • Android 2.1

  • Social networking integration

  • Dell’s Stage UI

  • Flash 10.1 support

  • Swype

  • preinstalled Hulu app for web videos

  • AT&T-friendly 3G

  • 8MP camera




The Thunder will be available in Q4 of 2010 and the company is also planning for a LTE version to be released later during 2011.

The second one Dell Flash is running on Android 2.2 and the features of Dell Flash includes




  • 3.5 inch WVGA touchscreen display

  • Android 2.2 or Froyo

  • MicroSD card support

  • 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor

  • Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, HSPA

  • 3.5mm headset jack

  • 5MP autofocus camera

  • TV out

  • 512MB of RAM, 512MB of ROM etc



The device will be hitting AT&T and also around the world by the Q1 of 2011.


The third to the list is Dell Smoke, a full QWERTY keyboard handset running on Android 2.2


Features of Smoke include

  • QVGA touchscreen display

  • 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor

  • Bluetooth 2.1, HSPA, Wi-Fi

  • MicroSD card support up to 32GB

  • 5MP camera etc.




This device will be hitting the market by the first half of 2011.

Finally the Dell Looking Glass an Android 2.1 powered tablet.

Features of Dell Looking Glass includes

  • 7 inch WVGA touchscreen display

  • 4GB of RAM, 4GB of Flash storage

  • Tegra 2 processor

  • AT&T U-verse browser

  • MicroSD card support

  • 1.3MP camera

  • optional TV tuner module for ATSC or DVB-T programming etc.




The device will be available from the second half of 2011.
