During the announcement of Windows Phone 7 series, Microsoft introduced a new Panoramic User Interface for the WP7 series. This new innovative UI is pretty enough to impress each of you.
This Panoramic User Interface helps you to side-scroll through menus as a slideshow,with the windows wrapping around back to the beginning, and Microsoft describes the interface as a 'contiguous background' which extends beyond the dimensions of the screen in vertically and horizontally, but one at a time,not both with anchored 'mixed-media' elements being littered atop it. It is really an interesting and good UI, and even Microsoft themselves impressed on this perfect UI for mobile devices, and they want to protect this unique UI as they filed a patent for this Panoramic User Interface.
The Microsoft started working on this UI since Q1 of 2008 and they have already filed a patent application for the UI in September 2008 itself. Which means that the competitors can't make a similar UI without the permission of Microsoft.
