
As we know Intel and Nokia joined together to work on their MeeGo project, but it doesn't mean that its mobile plans are limited to MeeGo only and not consider any other mobile platforms.
But now the reports indicate that Intel is really interested in Google's Android platform. Intel confirmed that they have already ported Android to X68 hardware, as the manufacturers are interested in using this new system and are going to enter Atom based smartphones.
Intel’s software and services group general manager Renee James says that the company is actually “enabling all OSes for Atom phones rather than just Android”
Currently ARM processor is playing the main role in the chipsets for Android devices in smartbooks and smart phones. Now it seems like Intel is about to take a big bite out of ARM’s market share.
