World's Smallest Flash Drive To Be Released by Sandisk And Toshiba

Sandisk and Toshiba in a joint venture is about to release a flash Drive which they claim will be the world's smallest NAND flash memory chip. In a press release today the company announced the 19nm 64-gigabit X2 memory chip. The flash drive is  made of the most advanced memory process technology node in the world.



Company will be sampling the 19nm 64Gb X2  monolithic device during this quarter itself and the mass manufacturing is scheduled during the second half of 2011. The press release went on to say that the latest innovation would enable Sandisk to create embedded and removable compact storage devices with high capacities which is used in latest mobiles and tablets using small form factor.
