Sharp Introduced Pantone 5 107SH World's First Smartphone with Built-In Radiation Sensors

You may not have forgotten the Fukushima tragedy in Japan that took place last year. We can't be blamed if they’re really concerned about potential radiation from the aftermath. After that incident most of the people are carrying radiation meters with them to know the radiation levels around them.

Now for those who are really worried about the radiation problems, and those who need a radiation detection device with them, Sharp has introduced a new smartphone Pantone 5 107SH. This is the first smartphone to come up with a built-in radiation sensor. The device carries a big round physical button in the front side that makes the activation of the radiation sensor. It's so simple, you just need to press the button, then it automatically triggers a dedicated radiation reader app that provides fairly accurate measure of the level of radiation in your area. The process completes within 10 seconds and comes up with the exact radiation level and shows the reading on the screen along with a map of your location.

Apart from this unique feature, the Pantone 5 107SH from sharp has a 3.7-inch WVGA screen, Android 4.0 ICS, a 1.4GHz single-core processor, 4-megapixel camera, and a dust and water proof design.

The Pantone 5 107SH is available in eight vibrant colors and the device will be rolling out in Japan by the mid of July.
