IM-U540L is a classic "Sportive" phone from Pantech, a South Korean company specialized in manufacturing mobile phone terminals and also produces home products under the SKY brand. The IM-U540L sportive phone with touch controls and lots of colors is particularly designed for CDMA networks.
The device has an outstanding design and only one hand is needed (left hand ) to control the device, as the buttons are provided on the side of the phone which has a convex shape.
The features of the Sportive includes a 3-inch TFT touch screen display with resolution of 240x400 which displays more than 262 thousand colors, CDMA EVDO Rel 0 / HSDPA 7.2Mbps, 3 megapixel CMOS camera, 62 MB memory which can be expandable through microSD memory cards, Multimedia player, standard T-DMB, built-in video and photo editor, view office and text documents, Bluetooth, and the basic applications like Google Maps, Unit converter and exchange, subway, calculator, Calendar Voice Memo, World Clock, Stopwatch etc.
The phone is available in two models -- one with standard battery ( 106,5 x54, 5x11, 2 / Weight 91.2 oz dimensions) and the other with a thin battery (106,5 x54, 5x10, 3 mm / Weight 88.3 oz dimensions).
Other specifications of the device includes a support widget that can be placed on the screen in a random manner to download files without MR3 DRM protection, built-in electronic dictionaries, and also various services like Weather, VOD, MOD etc. This unique sporty touch edition is available through LG Telecom in Red, Blue and Silver colors. But there is no word on pricing.
