According to some other source fifth generation iPhone will be using Qualcomm’s hybrid GSM/CDMA radios. These Gobi chips can support both GSM and CDMA network, which indirectly means that the same device can be used for both AT&T's and Verizon's network, if enabled in the software. Even the iPhone 4 is also has such so called World Phone software, but it was locked to support only for CDMA usage.
