After a tons of rumors and long wait, the most anticipated tablet from the South Korean manufacturing giant, Samsung, unwrapped their latest Galaxy Tab today at CTIA. The interesting thing is that Samsung announced two tablets insted of one as we expected, 8.9-inch Samsung Galaxy Tab and also a thinner version of the Galaxy Tab 10.1.
Both the devices got lighter and thinner chasis and measures 8.6mm thick, which is thinner than Apple's iPad 2, announced this month as the world's thinnest tablets ever.
When we look into the features, the devices are boosted up with powerful features. Samsung Galaxy Tab 10.1 features 1280 x 800 resolution WXGA display, 1 GHz dual core processor, HSPA+ 21Mbps, 2MP front facing camera, 720p HD video recording, 1080p video playback, social Hub, Bluetooth 2.1 + EDR,Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n,Music and Readers Hub and microSD card slot with 16/32/64GB storage options with weigh just 595g.
Samsung 8.9 as we think lies in between the 7-inch and 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab specifications and weighs 470 gm. The features include 1 GHz processor, 16/32/64GB of internal storage capacity, HSPA+ 21Mbps, Android 3.0, TouchWiz UI, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 2MP front-facing camera for video chating, 3MP rear-facing camera, gyroscope, 720p HD video recording and full HD video playback etc. The device also provides an option to access Android Market and also provides various Hub access.
The Galaxy Tab 8.9 will be hitting stores soon with a price tag of $469 (16GB) and $499 (32GB). But those who are looking for Galaxy Tab 10.1 have to wait atleast upto June 8 as it is coming in U.S on June 8 with a price tag ranging from $499 (16GB), $599 (32GB).
