Motorola 32GB WIFI Xoom To Hit Stores On March 27th For $599



We analysed Xoom during the recently concluded CES 2011. Today the company during a statement announced that the 32GB WIFI Xoom Tablet will be available at retail stores from March 27th for a price of $599.

The price of the new device is relatively competitive and falls in the general price range of tablets. Most exciting feature of the device is that it runs Android Honey comb OS which is supposed to be optimized for Tablets. Now it has to be found that if this device would pose a threat to the recently launched and now the hot cake at  stores, the ipad 2.

Earlier the company had its 3G Xoom priced at $799 which was widely considered an expensive buy for a new device. The device was priced $70 more than its comparable Apple ipad version.  Motorola by this latest move expect more people to have hands on experience of the device.

Company expects to sell the devices through more broader retail outlet much similar to that of Apple. You can purchase the device from Amazon.com, best buy and walmart stores. Let's watch where the Tablet wars would take the companies.
