We don't have any concrete evidence about this, but according to Chris Whitmore, an analyst at Deutsche Bank, Apple will introduce, not one but two new iPhones in September. A lower end model iPhone 4S, to compete with the mid range models of its rivals like Nokia, RIM, and the second one is long rumored iPhone 5. The name of upcoming iPhone, whether it will be known as iPhone 4S or iPhone 5 is unknown till now, and also about the hardware details. Some sources says that the next generation iPhone will be a completely redesigned model, while some others are pointing on slight changes only.
According to Whitmore " With Nokia and RIMM struggling, the time is right for Apple to aggressively penetrate the mid range smart-phone market"
The iPhone 4S will be a cheaper handset, may be a redesigned version of iPhone 4 to meet the needs of lower-end customers, and according to hime Apple offering the device for free off contract. A pre paid device priced arond $350, and the data plans are similar to those of iPads. Though the initial price is bit high, the lack of commitment may make the device a good option for some users.
The higher end model, iPhone 5 seems to be a successor of iPhone 4, a rival for the dual core powered Android smartphones available in the market now. may be a device with larger screen, dual LED flash 8 mega pixel camera, iOS5 etc.
As we said earlier this is just based on the analysis of the current global smartphone market. We don't have any proof whether it is based on real sources. Whatever it may be we can expect at least one iPhone in September.
