Up to now, the Samsung Galaxy S III is the king in Android smartphones, but now the things are changing, and it seems like that we are getting a new leader in the Android smart phone range. The new challenger for Samsung's flagship device for the year 2012, is from Pantech and the device is 5-inch Vega S5.
The most exciting specification of the device is its design, it maintains a slim and ultra thin profile, and is achieved by 'zero bezel technology.' The Vega S5 has got a 5-inch screen, while the S III is a 4.8-inch device, but Vega S5 is actually narrower than Samsung’s SII. The device is shorter and less wider than the Samsung Galaxy S III, and measures just 6.89mm, instead of 8.6mm in S III.
Even though it maintains its compactness, Vega S5 has not compromised in its hardware department, as the device offers all the advanced features to make it as a smartphone we all have been dreaming about.
The device offers the dual core power with Qualcomm S4 Snapdragon MSM8960 processor, and is coming with a 5-inch 1280x720 pixels IPS-LCD display, 13 megapixel camera with continuous autofocus and zero shutter lag, Android 4.0 ICS, LTE connectivity, 2100 mAh battery with 11 hrs of talk time etc.
All the specifications seems to be pretty impressive, but we have to tell you something more about the device, which makes you a little bit down. The device carries a huge price tag, $800, and is planning to offers only in Korea for now via SK Telecom. So the distribution of the device outside Korea is still a question. We may hope that the company will take the device out of Korea and expect to see a global version soon.
