Yes the date is confirmed, finally Microsoft officially announced the launching date for their upcoming OS Windows 8. Earlier this month they announced about the possible October release of the OS, but the exact date was lacking. Now they have officially announced via their Windows Team Blog., that the new OS will see the lime light on October 26.
The blog says that “…October 26th, 2012! That’s right! Just a few minutes ago, Steven Sinofsky announced at Microsoft’s annual sales meeting that customers will be able to get Windows 8 – whether in upgrade fashion or on a new PC – starting on October 26th. Earlier this month at the Microsoft Worldwide Partner Conference, Tami Reller told attendees Windows 8 would be available in October. But now everyone has a specific date to mark on their calendars. It’s on mine!”
The new OS from Microsoft will be compatible with Intel, AMD, and ARM chips, and Microsoft itself planning to launch two new tablet named Surface. Windows 8 OS also rocks with a Metro Style interface, and offers many touch screen friendly features.
