Panasonic introduced two new tablets, in their Toughbook series of rugged devices. The new tablets Panasonic Toughbook CF-H2 Health and Panasonic Toughbook CF-H2 Field are 10-inch devices specifically designed for medical applications and extreme field conditions.

Panasonic Toughbook CF-H2 Field, as we said are meant for those who work in fields and is coming with IP65, MIL-STD 810G standards. The tablet uses 1.7GHz Intel Core i5 2557M vPro processor to power its entire system. Panasonic designed the tablets as dust, water, shock and vibration resistant. The tablet offers 10-inch LCD with Dual Touch and up to 6,000 cd/m2 reflective brightness screen.
While the Panasonic Toughbook CF-H2 Health is coming with the power of 1.8GHz Intel Core i5 3427U vPro processor, and offers the same display as in previous one. The tablets meet Hospital Safety Certifications and offers protection from dust, water, vibrations, shock etc.

Both the tablets shares some common specification including USB 3.0, LAN and Serial Port, Integrated Barcode Reader Options. Both the tablets runs on Windows 7 Professional and offers some optional features like RFID, smartcard Reader, GPS, Camera etc.
Toughbook CF-H2 Health offers 7 hours and Toughbook CF-H2 Field offers 6.5 hours of battery life with dual hot swappable batteries. Both the tablets offers a lightweight form factor and weighs around 1.58kg.

Both the tablets will be hitting the market by August 2012, for a price tag of $2298 and $2775 for Toughbook CF-H2 Field and Health respectively.
