HTC Officially Announced HTC Butterfly For Global Market

The first 1080p smartphone from HTC, the HTC J Butterfly/DROID DNA takes another turn, as the company silently announced a global version of the device with a code name HTC Butterfly. This is the same device that HTC announced as J Butterfly for Japanese market, and also as the DROID DNA for the US market. This global cousin is a GSM variant, so those who are not interested to sign a contract with Verizon can also try this new device.

For those who are still unfamiliar with HTC's flagship device, the device is phone features a eye breaking 1080p screen with 440 PPI, that blows everything else. Apart from its 5" 1920 x 1080 pixels display, the device offers quad-core 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, Android Jelly Bean, 8 MP rear camera, 2.1 MP front facing camera, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of internal storage, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth 4.0, A-GPS with GLONASS, DNLA, Beats Audio technology etc. and houses 2,020 mAh battery. There is also a microSD card slot in Butterfly, that is not present in the Droid DNA.
