LG G2 launches, comes with 2.26 GHz processor

LG G2 is a much anticipated device of the year. The successor of LG optimus G smartphone comes packed with some extreme features.



The device is powered by 2.26 GHz Qualcomm's quad core Snapdragon 800 processor along with 2 GB of RAM. It comes with 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options. The wide 5.2 inches screen offers fullHD resolution of 1080 X 1920 with 443 ppi.

The rear camera of LG G2 captures 13 MP images, while the front camera is 2.1 MP. The bezel is kept extremely thin, and the volume control and power buttons are placed at the rear of the phone. This is something new with phones as most phone have these button on the side.

LG G2 is equipped with a powerful 3000 mAH battery. A graphic processor is also provided to boost the graphical performance, which will also help in reducing the power drainage while playing extreme graphics. The device runs on Android 4.2.2 jellybean operating system.

The dimensions of the phone are 138.5 x 70.9 x 8.9mm, and it will be available in Black as well as White colors. The powerful processor will help in multi tasking. The processor used in LG G2 is more powerful than that of the Moto X, Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC one.

In this phone LG has tried the features like knock on the screen to make the phone active. Another feature in the phone is the QuickRemote that will act as a univeral remote control for your home appliances. Besides there is feature that automatically answers the phone when it is raised to the ear. Other options includes Plug & Pop, Text Link and Slide Aside

LG expects the demand of G2 identical to that of Smasung Galaxy S4, HTC One and Moto X. The device will be rolled out first in Korea, followed by South America, Europe and other prefered markets. In United States the phone will be sold through all the four telecom operators. This incudes Verizon, AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile. The date of availability is yet to be known. LG G2 is expected to have a price of $200 or $300 with 2 year contract.
