Samsung "Galaxy Gear" Smartwatch may get unveiled on September 4

Samsung Galaxy watch have been in news for a while now. After all guesses and rumors the smartwatch is about to turn real and that will happen as early as September. The name of the watch could most probably be 'Galaxy gear', however there is no confirmation on this.



Bloomberg quotes two insiders who have revealed the news for them. Samsung however have not let out any hints on the possible launch. Samsung clearly knows that they need to hurry up the launch as Apple is also planning one such similar device.

The Samsung smartwatch will be using Android OS to run the device. The watch, besides it prime objective of showing the time, will help the users to make calls, surf internet and send e-mails. By this early launch Samsung clearly beats Apple in competition, and this may offer Samsung an edge, being the first to have such device.

Latest reports suggests that there won't be a bendable screen in 'Galaxy Gear' as rumored earlier. Though the company is working one such display, it won't be available on Galaxy gear. Most analysts believe that it could revolutionize the way people connect withe each other. How far the wearable devices like glasses and smartwatches would go is yet to be seen.

Samsung also have an important launch on the same day. Samsung Galaxy Note III is also expected to be launched on September 4th. This two days ahead of the IFA Berlin 2013. These two device will the Samsung's show stoppers at IFA this year. The device is also expected to go on sale this year itself. So it is not a long wait altogether.

Concept of smartwatch is not all new. There already exists watches that communicate with smartphones to offer data. Most of them belong to fitness gadgets that records and store vital statistics of human body to be analysed later. Fitbit Flex and Fitbit One belongs to such smartwatches. We also have pebble watches in the market.
