Samsung Hennessy SCH-W789 is possibly going to be Samsung's new device to the smartphone line up. This time, however, it is a bit different. Samsung Hennessy SCH-W789 is clam shell smartphone with dual screen with hardware keyboard that flips out.
Blog of mobile have published what appears to be press shot of the device along with the specifications. Both the screens inside and outside will be 3.3 inches HVGA LCD displays with 320X480 pixels resolution. The outside screen is a touch screen and when opened the inside screen can be operated using the hardware keyboard. The phone is expected to be powered using a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and 1 GB RAM.
Samsung Hennessy is expected run on Android 4.1.2 OS at launch, which might receive 4.3 OS update later. Connectivity options are 1900/1800/900 MHz CDMA2000 800 (BC0) MHz, GSM. Nothing is offered about the in build storage memory of the device. The rear camera will be a 5 MP shooter. There is no mention about the front camera.
Clam shell smartphones are not common these days. Besides the ones we found during the beginning of smartphone era, we have not found seen a successful flip smartphone. Samsung Hennessy is expected to show itself up at China Telecom for a mobile operator in China. Global release may follow, however, there is no mention about it in the site. It will be available in luxury Gold color.
