Micomax is introducing a new phablet, Micromax A240, with 5.7 inch wide screen. The price of the phone will be around Rs.18000 at the launch and may be announced early next week.
The 5.7 inch display will offer 720p resolution. The phone will be powered by 1.2GHz quad-core MediaTek MT6589 processor along with 1 GB RAM. There will be 16 GB of internal storage. The rear camera is expected to be a 12 MP with LED flash, while the front camera may be 5 MP.
Micromax A240 runs on Android 4.2 jelly bean OS, and there is 2,600 mAh battery. The phone is expected to offer all software features that we saw in the recently launched canvas 4.
With the launch of A240, Micromax expect to compete with recently launched Samsung Galaxy Mega 5.8. The brand Mircromax had in recent times dealt with a blow when one of the co-founders was booked in a bribery case by the officials. Otherwise the company is doing good with good sales numbers and regular device launches.
