Dell's first Android tablet Dell Streak is announced officially in UK. Dell Streak which was known as Mini 5 previously is offered by O2 in UK via its own channels and also offered via Carphone Warehouse.
The device will be available to the UK customers starting from June, and also note that Apple is launching iPad in UK this month itself.
The pricing details of the device is not revealed by the carrier but we can expect it will be announced ahead of launch. The Dell Streak is coming with specifications like
- 5 inch WVGA multi-touch display
- 1GHz Snapdragon processor
- Android 1.6
- Wi-Fi, HSDPA
- 2GB of internal memory
- Google Maps
- 5MP autofocus camera
- Twitter and Facebook integration
- MicroSD card support
The device is coming with Android 1.6, but the company promises an Android 2.2 update this year itself. So even it won't be a strong rival for iPad (already sold more than 1 million units ),we can expect it will be good choice for budget friendly users.
