Intel Announced Atom Z600 Series.


Intel announced its new processor series Atom Z600 “Moorestown”, particularly designed for the smartphones and also for the tablet devices. This new processors are the successors to their Atom Z500 series which they designed for the MID and used for many netbooks also.


The new processor is a system on a chip with features like integrated graphics, display and memory controllers and also video processing controls. The speed available for the device is upto 1.5 GHz for smartphones and 1.9 GHz for tablet and other portable devices. The processor supports MeeGo and Android operating systems and Wi-Fi, WiMAX, 1080p HD playback and 3G out of the box support.


The processor also features 10 days of idle time and 5 hours of viseo playback, 2 days of audio playback and is also superior to Atom Z500 series in size and also in power consumption.
