iBall Andi 4Di launched in India for Rs. 5995

iBall have introduced a new smartphone, the iBall Andi 4Di, for the Indian domestic market. It is a phone meant for the budget conscious buyers, and is priced Rs. 5995.

The phone is powered by a 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, and there is a 1 GB RAM. The 4-inch IPS WVGA display offers a 480x800 pixels resolution.

It runs on Android 4.0 ICS operating system. iBall Andi 4Di features a 5 MP rear camera with flash and a VGA front facing camera. Internal storage is 512 MB (150 MB available for user) which can  be expanded up to 32 GB using MicroSD card. Connectivity options includes 3G (HSUPA and HSDPA), Edge, GPRS, Wi-Fi, GPS, aGPS and Bluetooth. Battery used in the device is a 1700mAh battery. It is a dual SIM phone, and has stand by options for both SIMs. Andi 4Di is available in two color options -- Black and Silver, and White and Chrome.

Going by the specifications this smartphone is no where near the high end smartphones. But we cannot expect more from a 6K budget smartphone. The specifications are good enough for a normal user who is not into heavy gaming.

Budget phone segment is recently seeing a rush with some major players including Samsung introducing their lower end version of the devices. In last few weeks we have also found domestic phone makers like Micromax, Carbonn and iBall introducing a range of phones to the market. The domestic phone market in India is still ripe with the demand of budget smartphones constantly rising. Chinese makers ZTE also have their share of pie in the Indian budget smartphone market.

iBall recently had introduced Andi 3.5KKe, another budget phone priced cheaper than iBall Andi 4Di. Andi 3.5KKe was priced Rs. 3,399 at the launch, and features a 3.5-inch HVGA display. The device is powered by 1GHz Cortex A9 processor, and runs on Android 2.3 Ginger bread OS. It is a dual SIM phone with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, EDGE and GPRS connectivity options.
