Moto X to feature Magic glass display

The most recent leaks of the hugely anticipated Moto X smartphone points to a 'Magic glass' gorilla display. It is just few days before the phone is released and might probably see lights on August 1, 2013.

The recent leaks came from Mr. Taylor Wimberly, a technology journalist, who wrote on his Google + page that 'Moto X features something called Moto Magic Glass. This is a single sheet of Gorilla Glass which is molded to a special polymer to make a continuous surface that wraps around the entire front and edges of the device. There is zero gap with the back.'

The 'magic glass' is a Gorilla glass variant that wraps around the phone, there won't be any gap between the front and the back of the device. Earlier a news in similar lines had made its rounds that suggested an unbreakable design for Moto X phone. Whether it is going to be unbreakable is yet to be figured.

The specifications of the device were leaked earlier including a hands on video Moto X. Then there were leaks on the alleged press shots of the August 1 launch. By now we have almost all the key feature of the device available.

The phone is expected to feature 1.7GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor with 2GB of RAM. There will also be an Adreno 320 GPU for graphics processing. The 4.5 inch display will feature, as discussed above, magic glass and 720 pixel resolution. There will be a 10.5 MP front camera and a 2.1 MP front camera. Moto X is expected to run on Android 4.3 Jelly bean OS. There will be 16 GB and 32 GB internal storage options available (12 GB user available), and the battery will be a 2,200mAh battery. It will also feature NFC, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity.

Moto X is expected to be priced around $299 for 16 GB version, and $349 for 32 GB version.
