Oppo has announced a new smartphone named Oppo R1. Whether the phone is for international launch or for China is to be confirmed. Oppo R1 is expected to feature slightly lower specification than the Oppo N, which is about to launch on December 10.
Oppo R1 is expected to feature 5 inch display with 960 x 540 pixels resolution. The phone will be powered using a 1.2 GHz quad core processor along with 1 GB of RAM. Make of the processor is not known as yet. Oppo say that the phone is equipped with cameras that can take stunning images in low light condition. The rear camera is 8 MP while the front shooter is 5 MP.
The rear of the smartphone looks almost similar to Xperia Z1 from Sony while the front resembles the Gionee Elife E6. It comes with Corning Gorilla 3 glass and the frame made of aluminium-magnesium alloy. The phone is spotted on the official Weibo page of Oppo. The price of the phone is now know yet, but the phone may get launched this year itself, probably by mid December.
