Microsoft recently tried to spreading their business into other arenas like mobiles, game consoles etc. But the company is now in an attempt to cut losses and drops they encountered in the Windows Mobile and Zune.
According to the Strategic News Service analyst and founder Mark Anderson, the lack of fundamental understanding will lead to a heavier flop in the consumer business electronic field and Xbox 360 is an exception from this. The companies like Apple, Google etc is still dominating this industry because they can understand the field better, Anderson added. He explained like "Phones are consumer items, and Microsoft doesn’t have consumer DNA, Walk the halls at Microsoft and you can see it is not a place that gets consumers."
Microsoft is in a need of a drastic move and is planning to launch Windows Mobile 7 in the second half of 2010 by adding a multi-touch interface and also taking some of Zune HD's media components thus to address their interface weakness.
