HP launched HP Mini 100e, a rugged designed netbook for kids. The device was showcased at Computex last month and is coming as a competitor for Dell Latitude 2100 series and Intel's classmate series, but unlike these two HP Mini 100e is cheaper and will be available for around $299. The features of HP Mini 100e includes 10.1 inch LED-backlit WSVGA display with 1024x600 resolution Spill resistant, 92% of full size keyboard, Intel Atom N455 processor Intel NM10 Express chipset 160GB HDD 5400RPM, 1GB DDR3 RAM Windows XP Home, Windows 7 Starter or SuSE Linux Wi-Fi certified WLAN connectivity MIC and headphone ports, VGA, V.92 standard integrated worldwide modem LED indicator on the lid to signal web usage carry handle The device is available in both 6-cell and 3-cell batteries and weighs just 1.45Kg. Mini 100e will also be coming with some dedicated Microsoft app for students like Microsoft Math, Microsoft Reader, Microsoft Live Movie Maker and Microsoft Learning ...
