Lenovo And VXL Joined For All New Ultra Thin Laptops


The laptop manufacturers Lenovo and VXL joined hands to anounce their co-branded slimline laptops Itona TL412 and TL100. The TL100 is an entry level device and the TL422 is a standard device. Both the devices offers the customer a choice of  Windows XP or Windows Emdedded (WES) operating systems. The manufactures are also planning to to add Linux as a choice within the next quarter. The device also offers XLmanage Workgroup Edition, VXL's remote management software


The features of TL412 includes

  • 14.1-inch WXGA HD non-reflective display

  • 1GB - 4GB of DDR3 RAM

  • 1.86GHz Intel Celeron Dual Core processor

  • Intel GMA HD graphics

  • 1GB of Flash storage

  • Express PC Card Expansion slot

  • WiFi and Gigabit 10/100/1000 LAN connectivity.


The features of TL100 includes

  • 11.6-inch HD widescreen with LED backlight

  • 1 GB - 4GB DDR2 RAM

  • 1GB of Flash storage

  • 1.0Ghz AMD Athlon Neo processor

  • ATI Radeon HD3200 graphics card

  • 4 in 1 PC Card slot

  • WiFi and Gigabit 10/100/1000 LAN connectivity.


The former is coming with three year warranty as standard and the later one offered one year warranty as standard and also can upgrade upto three year. Both the devices will start shipping from mid of June. No words on pricing.
