Sprint HTC EVO 4G, world's first device with WiMax powered by Android is breaking all the records of sales on its launching day itself. There is no official details available about the number of devices sold, even the company claims that the “the total number of HTC EVO 4G devices sold is three times the number of Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre devices sold over their first three days on the market combined.” As you know Samsung Instinct and Palm Pre are the two other device which already broke the records of best-selling on launching day.
The HTC EVO 4G seems to be one of the best smartphones from Sprint and is coming with a number of advanced features, so the boom in sales won't be so surprising. The carrier claims that the massive sales of the device “led to temporary shortages”, but the company is working to overcome the shortages. The device is available with a new 2-yr contract agreement for $199
